DAKOTA, Minn. – Sheriff’s deputies responding to a domestic disturbance were told that Tyler James Schmitz, 32, of Dakota, threatened and grabbed another person and punched a dog. Schmitz was cited for domestic assault by instilling fear and causing harm and for cruelty to animals. The fight was in the 900 block of Frontage Road in Dakota about 11 p.m.
