WINONA, Minn. – The Winona Schools policy on Covid masking is working, Superintendent Annette Freiheit said. For the week ending October 6, she said, the district had only six new positive cases. In all, Freiheit said, the district has 26 individuals in quarantine. For the fall semester there have been a total of 30 individuals with positive cases and 67 needing to quarantine. The district’s mitigation strategies includes a universal mask mandate during instructional hours and for instructional programming.
