WEST ALLIS, Wis. – John Robert Rogala, of West Allis, who was born and attended college in Winona. died at age 90. In the Korean war his unit was awarded two Bronze Medals, a United Nations Service Medal, a National Defense Medal, and the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. He worked in Milwaukee and around the country in construction. He was active in the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. He sang in the Pilgrim People liturgical group collected food for the poor.
