ROCHESTER, Minn. — A 24-year-old woman with student loans told police she was called by someone claiming to be with U.S. Financial. The caller told her it was the last day for student loan forgiveness and asked to pay a forgiveness fee with a her debit card. She then contacted her student loan company, which told her the call was phony.
