WINONA, Minn. – Police arrested a Winona man whom they say stole a pickup truck on the West End, drove a few blocks to the Days Inn hotel, and parked. Arrested was Jonathan Marquist Payton, 36. Police recommended charges of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, and receiving stolen property. Police said he had entered an apartment on the 1700 block of West Broadway, took a set of keys to the vehicle, and drive off. This was about midnight.
