LAMOILLE, Minn. –  Earl Albert Charles Nottleman, 98,  who built the Green Terrace Mobile Home Park on the family farm near LaMoille, died peacefully at his home. He was full of stories, including once, while in Civil Air Patrol, flying plane under the Winona bridge. Then there was the time on Yellowstone Park when he was bitten by a bear and fought it off with his right fist. was a state fire warden many years. He helped found  the Pickwick Fire and Rescue Department. Hewas LaMoille harbor master, a substitute rural mail carrier, and a member of the Elks, Masons and Shriners lodgers. He hand-built a houseboat and took friends and family to Mississippi River sandbars or across to Sullivan’s supper club. As a young man he booked bands that at the Marysvale Dance Hall on the family farm. Later, when his son Sam played in the Fabulous Ferraris Band, he became their booking agent. He was a major investor in the North Country Band album.
