WINONA, Minn. – Winona Health’s downtown Main Street Clinic, which opened in 2020 as a low-cost, cash-based healthcare option, now accepts insurance. Rod Baker, a Winona Health executive, said the original Main Street business model needed fine-tuning. “One of the benefits of being an independent, community-focused healthcare organization is our ability to pilot new models of care, then monitor, evaluate, listen and quickly make improvements,” said Baker. Most Main Street services are $80 to $100 – now minus what insurance covers.  Care is available to everyone no matter where they usually receive healthcare services, Baker said.
