ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Rochester woman accused of multiple crimes, one involving a dead cat, entered a plea agreement for some of the charges to be dropped. Angela Spears, 36, was told to return to court for sentencing next month on the remaining charges — possession of burglary tools, drug possession, and property damage. Spears was arrested in June asleep at a ransacked apartment with a dead cat. The cat, somebody’s pet, had been smashed by pottery that shattered on impact. The arrest was not Spears’ first scrape with the law. In 2021 she was placed on probation for entering an apartment, piling clothes in a bed and setting them on fire, and smashing a mirror with a baseball bat.
