WINONA, Minn. – The Winona Education Association, which represents teachers. singled out four persons for 2022 honors at an annual banquet. Honored were:
John Casper, the school district’s communication coordinator since 2019, who was credited with building community.
James Kirk, chair of the Special Education Department at Winona State University, as a community partner.
Kirstin Schultz, a third-grade teacher at Jefferin School for 31 years, who is the district’s teacher of the year.
Marianne Texley. who in retirement is a substitute principal and who earlier spent 23 years as a Winona principal.
