WINONA, Minn. – Shirley M. Beck, 81 of Winona, who served 18 years in the U.S. Army, died at Benedictine St. Anne nursing home. She graduated from Cotter High School and went on to attend the University of Minnesota and vocational school. In the Army she attained the rank of sergeant first class. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and American Legion.
