WINONA, Minn. – A Winona High School girl reportedly slapped a 15-year-old boy in the face, then left the school and headed toward Lake Winona and threatened to jump in and kill herself. Police were called. The girl, 16, was talked out of suicide. She was turned over to her mother, who by then had been called to the school. This was about 2 p.m. The boy who was slapped wasn’t injured, police said.
