WINONA, Minn. – Police asked the driver in a traffic stop about the marijuana odor wafting from his car. Too, the officer said, the man’s pupils were dilated. Kjell Dean Nelson, 18, of Lakeville. conceded he had been enjoying marijuana-infused gummies, the officer said. Such gummies now are legal in Minnesota. At the jailhouse officers took a urine sample from Nelson. Whether Nelson will be charged depends on what the state crime lab finds in the urine. In the meantime, Nelson was charged with driving without proof of insurance.
