ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Plummer skyscraper was swathed in red, white and blue lighting to mark the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The Mayo Clinic, which owns the Plummer building, said the patriotic theme honors King’s teachings on justice, equality, courage and determination, as well as the fearlessness to stand in opposition of prejudice, oppression and violence. “Dr. King’s vision remains an enduring source of inspiration,’ Mayo said in an announcement. Mayo Clinic also lit red, white and blue tributes at its clinics in Albert Lea, Austin, Faribault, Owatonna and La Crosse and also its campuses in Florida and Arizona.

Mayo. Clinic says it, like King, is committed to “advancing racial equity, inclusion and diversity.”
