WASHINGTON – In response to a lawsuit by white Midwest farmers, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said it would review provisions of a Biden Administration farm loan forgiveness program available only to minority farmers. The review will be with the U.S. Justice Department, USDA said in a statement, Meanwhile, the agency said it will continue to offer loan forgiveness to farmer who fall into a category of socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers who are black, American Indian, Hispanic, Alaskan native, Asian American or Pacific Islander.
