LACROSSE, Wis. – Security guards stopped a man from carrying a loaded .22 caliber handgun and a magazine with 12 bullets onto an airplane at La Crosse airport. A guard at a boarding checkpoint detected the gun in the n man’s carry-on bag about 5:15 a.m. TSA officials immediately alerted the La Crosse Police were called. The traveler, from Washington state,  was a soldier who said forgot the weapon in his bag. The man had a valid concealed carry permit, police said. No arrest was made.
