MADISON, Wis. – U.S. Senate candidate Mandela Barnes aired his first television campaign commercial in the tight Democratic race to unseat Ron Johnson. The commercial emphasizes Barnes’ middle class upbringing. He is the only black candidate. Barnes’ main challengers for the nomination, Alex Lasry and Sarah Godlewski, have already spent millions on television spots. The primary is less than two months off, on August 9.
