BLACK RIVER FALS, Wis. – Three men were killed, apparently instantly, when their car crashed into a semi-trailer about 1:30 a.m. Killed were Tyler Decorah, 36, of Black River; Robert Hopinka, 34, of Black River; and Jorden Vidana, 35, of Onalaska. The State Patrol said they were on Highway 54 on the East End near Interstate 94. The truck was heading into Kwik Trip Store 468 at Andrews Road. None of the men was wearing a seatbelt, The Patrol said. Highway 54 was closed three hours due to the crash. Highway 54 is a trans-Wisconsin trunk connecting Winona at the Mississippi River and Green Bay at Lake Michigan.
