ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Rochester man was charged with physically and sexually abusing a girl last year when she was 12. Charged was Scott Kaehler, 38. He also was charged with malicious punishment of a child. The complaint was filed by the girl’s mother, who said that Kaehler hit the girl a lot and that she was frightened of him. The girl told police that Kaehler once slammed her into a wall so hard that it left a hole in the drywall. Another time, she said, Kaehler slapped her head so hard she fell into a table. Police said that Kaehler admitted to some physical abuse but denied any sexually contact.
