KASSON, Minn. – Police arrested a Kasson man for a Rochester bar attack in which a man was slammed in the face with a 10-inch beer mug that the bar, Roosters Too, calls its Goliath. Arrested at his home was Jonathan Collett, 35. Police quoted Collett that he remembered being at the bar but nothing else. What about the gauze around one hand? No recall. Police said that bar surveillance video showed a man walking up to the victim, who was seated with friends, and asking him if he wanted to box outside. Then the man thrust the victim in the face with the mug and left. At a hospital the victim received nine stitches on the face and several on a forearm. It all appeared unprovoked although there was a prelude with a few words exchanged, police said. Collett approached a group at a table and took photos, which appeared to upset the group, but nobody stood up to confront him. Collett circled the table and pushed his mug into victim’s face. The episode was February 9. At the Olmsted County jail, Collet was booked for felony assault.

Goliath. Glass like a brick, so thick it rarely breaks but this time it did.
