CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. – A juvenile was arrested in the death of a fourth-grade girl whose body was found on a wooded trail a day Monday morning. In a news conference Tuesday evening Police Chief Matthew Kelm declined to identify the boy but said that he and 10-year-old Lily Peters knew each other. There is no further danger to the community, the chief said. He didn’t discuss particulars of the death. An autopsy is under way. The arrest was at the house of the girl’s aunt. Lily had been visiting her aunt Sunday afternoon before leaving on her bicycle through the Duncan Creek woods to her father’s house. Her father called police about 9 p.m. and said Lily never arrived. Neighbors reported police hubbub at the aunt’s house about 3 a.m., Tuesday. It was believed that the arrest was at the aunt’s house.
