MINNEAPOLIS — Federal courts in Minnesota halted most proceedings through the end of the year because of growing COVID-19 incidence. Chief Judge John Tunheim said he order doesn’t apply to criminal trials already underway at the federal courthouse in Minneapolis but does apply to pending civil and criminal cases. Exceptions will be considered case by case, he said.
