WINONA, Minn. — The opening of new $82 million Winona Family YMCA on Lake Winona has been delayed by COVID, chief executive Janneke Sobeck said. Completion had been scheduled for mid-October. The structure is 85% incomplete. Contractor Market & Johnson had had COVID-related setbacks over which nobody has any control, Sobeck said. No more delays are expected, but there remain uncertainties, she said.
