WINONA, Minn. — Winona school leaders are assessing lessons from the pandemic and considering more permanent online instruction. For some students, according to District spokesperson John Casper, online courses worked well during the pandemic. Meanwhile, Winona Schools are returning to full in-person learning Thursday. About future online learning, the idea at this point is whether to create an option available alongside traditional in-person learning. A survey to gauge family interest is going out in the next few days, Casper said. “If we were going to put an online program together, we need to make sure we have enough students,” Casper said in an interview on radio station KWNO. Approval would be necessary from the state Education Department, he said.
