WINONA, Minn. – An overnight fire seriously damaged the Anova outdoor metal furniture factory on the Far East End. There were no injuries. The fire call came in at 12:38 a.m. Crews were still on-site at dawn. A large part of the building, at 1101 East Sarnia Street, between Louisa and Jackson streets, was destroyed.

Firefighters responded to an attic fire earlier at Anova Furnishings. That was about 1:30 p.m., Saturday. Employees were installing a new machine. That fire caused moderate damage to the attic.

Anova Furnishings. Anova designs and manufactures patio tables, park benches and other mostly outdoor furniture. The company patented plastic powder coating process in 1970s. The company has about 70 employees.
