CALLAWAY, Minn. – A fire that began in a laundry room at Maplelag Resort spread quickly and brought down the resort’s giant main building. Only rubble remained. No one was injured. Firefighters were called about 8 a.m. when smoke was spotted.  The lodge actually was a replacement for a pine structure that burned down in 1999.
