WINONA, Minn. – Gasoline prices dropped to less than $3 a gallon. It was the lowest since the OPEC international oil-exporting cartel cut oil production and forced prices near $4. These were prices at Kwik Trip, the dominant gasoline purveyor in the area:
> Caledonia: $3.19.
> Hokah: $3.02.
> LaCrescent: $3.04.
> LaCrosse: $2.94.
> Lake City: $3.09.
> Nodine: $3.09.
> Rochester: $3.29 to $3.39.
> Wabasha: $2.99.
> Winona: $2.99 to $3.19.
