MINNEAPOLIS – A Rochester woman pleaded guilty for a role in widespread destruction on University Avenue in St Paul after the 2020 death of George Floyd. Mena Dhaya Yousif, 23, was charged with helping her husband flee to Mexico after the arson and lying to police. Separately her husband, Jose Angel Felan, 35, has been charged with torching a Goodwill retail store, a sportswear shop and the Gordon Parks High School. Charges against Yousif, besides aiding and abetting her husband’s escape, included destroying evidence. The two were arrested by Mexican federales in February and extradited for U.S. prosecution.
