DES MONES, Iowa – Governor Kim Reynolds extended her initial proclamation of a natural disaster to 21 counties in northwest Iowa – a region stretching along the Minnesota border as far east as Albert Lea. The proclamation authorizes state resources for flood recovery.  The proclamation activates $5,000 for many households for car repairs, clothing food, and temporary housing.
