MINNEAPOLIS – The chief executive at Midwest Medical Holdings, Larry Lindberg, was charged with tax evasion, allegedly for failing to pay $6 million in payroll taxes. The charge was filed in federal court. Lindberg, 68, of suburban Mounds View, diverted funds and assets to other entities he controlled to evade the taxes, the criminal complaint alleges. The IRS tax-collection agency said that it attempted to collect on the tax debt for 11 years, that Lindberg signed several installment agreements to make regular payments, and that he failed to do so.
