EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wis, sat down with the Eau Claire Republican Caucus to discuss party affairs. In an interview after the closed meeting Johnson sidestepped whether he would seek a third term. He said he wasn’t in a rush. There has been a growing opposition to Johnson in recent television buys statewide. His purpose in Eau Caire, Johnson said, was to keep the Party engaged. About President Biden’s $1.9 trillion co-vid relief bill, which is heading for a Senate vote, Johnson said it was too much and less targeted than he would like.
