LACRESCENT, Wis. – When her car burst in flames at a Kwik Trip, the woman driver escaped – right into the hands of the law. Kelly Brocker, 37, wasn’t hurt, but police quickly learned that she was the same Kelly Brocker as the a person wanted in Minneapolis for felony fraud. Police took her to jail on an outstanding warrant to hold for Hennepin County authorities to pick up. Also, police said they found a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in Brock’s burned-out car. The fire was at a far end of the Kwik Trip lot, far from fuel pumps. The drama was about 5 p.m. at the Kwik Trip store at the north end of LaCrescent.
