LEWISTON, Minn. – The football coach at Lewiston-Altura High School, Brent Olson, confirmed that six pf his players had tested positive for COVID-19 just after three-day team camp at the end of July. Only one player showed symptoms but five others were also infected, Olson said. Although the high school weight room had been closed all summer, Olson said the players weren’t in isolation: “Sixteen-year-olds are going to get together.” Also, he said, some have had summer jobs together. Then, he said, there was a recent basketball camp. On Thursday the state Health Department identified Lewiston as virus hot spot with a per-capita ugh 16 confirmed cases since the pandemic began.
