BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The 500-store Mall of America was locked down after a man fired three shots outside a Nike shoe shop. No one was hurt. Police launched a manhunt. The incident was about 6 p.m. on Level 2 West of the giant mall. Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said that said two groups got into an altercation at the store. One group left, he said, but one member first fired three rounds into the store. Mall spokesman Dan Jasper said the mall would reopen Friday with more security. Jasper noted that guns are not allowed at the mall. There are, however, no metal detectors or other screening.
