ALBERT LEA, Minn. – A man who surrendered after a nine-hour standoff with police, was booked at the Freeborn County jail. The tentative charge against Devin Matthew Weiland, 21, was second-degree assault with dangerous weapon intended to cause substantial bodily harm. Three men, including an Albert Lea police officer, were wounded. More charges are possible, pending review by David Walker, the county attorney.
