WINONA, Minn. – Crews will need the weekend before the new roundabout on Mankato Avenue will be operational. The plan had been to open Friday. But state Transportation Department spokesperson Mike Dougherty said the contractor asked for extra time to ready the temporary ramp for southbound traffic from Mankato Avenue into the roundabout. Meanwhile, detours remain in place.
