WINONA, Minn. — Graduation caps went soaring skyward as Winona State graduated its mid-year class. Actually it wasn’t “skyward.” This being December, the ceremonies were inside McCown gym. With 479 graduates, the ceremony was a further sign that the university’s worrisome decade of enrollment losses has bottomed out.

The December 2025 class included six doctoral degrees in nursing and six certificates in business, education and nursing.
