LACROSSE, Wis. – The first case of monkeypox virus has showed up in La Crosse County. The state Health Department said the case, identified Wednesday, was the 32nd of monkeypox in Wisconsin. Minnesota has had 58 confirmed cases.
Symptoms
Fever, chills, swollen lymph nodes, muscle aches, headache, exhaustion, and rashes that develop into hard round pus-fllled lesions.
What to do
The U.S. Centers for Disease Controls says people inoculated against smallpox have significant protection from the monkeypox virus.
