WINONA, Minn. — Municipal foresters plan controlled burns Wednesday at the western end of the city’s Bluff Traverse Trail System. Thrash from oak savannahs and prairies is being incinerated. Hikers can use the trails during the burn, but, say foresters, be cautious about snow and ice and problematic mud.
