ST. PAUL, Minn. – The state will offer a $100 gift card to anyone 12 and older who gets a first Covid shot by August 15, Governor Tim Walz announced. The gift cards are the latest attempt to make up for the state’s failure to reach a 70% vaccination threshold by the Fourth of July. The project is funded from unspent federal Covid relief moneys. President Biden has encouraged such incentives nationwide.
