ST. PAUL, Minn. –Thousands of nurses returned to work at Minnesota hospitals following a three-day strike that, it seemed, prompted hospitals to offer to resume negotiations. The talks begin again next week. The issues have been salaries and also staff shortages that have been exacerbated by the CoVid pandemic. In all, 15,000 nurses at seven health care systems went on the power-play strike. On salaries, the hospitals had offered 10% to 12% raises over three years. The union held out for 30%-plus.
