WINONA, Minn.— In 30-plus years as a state legislator, Representative Gene Pelowski, D-Winona, said he’s never seen things so tense an environment. Pelowski said he knew of four fellow lawmakers who have had armed protestors show up at their homes and bang on their windows. “We’ve been under a rather strict set of protocols should there be any type of threat. Who to call, what to do should these incidents happen at our homes,” Pelowski said in an interview on radio station KWNO.
