WINONA, Minn. — A woman accused of dragging another woman behind her car while fleeing a fight in Rollingstone pleaded not guilty. Trial for Cherise Marie Dale, 32 of Kasson, was ordered for April 11. In the incident, on March 23, the other woman was injured seriously. Deputies described what happened this way: Dale got into an argument with another woman on a front porch. The other woman dropped her phone. Dale grabbed the phone and got into her vehicle. The ither woman tried to retrieve the phone, but Dale “floored it,” dragging woman down the street. When deputies arrived, they could not tell if the victim had been run over or injured while falling away from Dale’s vehicle. Whichever, she had significant injuries to her face. She could not move her legs. She was missing teeth. Although conscious, deputies said, she was speaking incoherently. Dale was later arrested by Rochester police, who said the victim’s phone was in Dale’s vehicle.
