WINONA, Minn. – Donald T. Nelson, age 81, of Winona, a Winona County sheriff’s deputy for 22 years, died at the Gundersen clinic. He also as a campus security officer at Saint Mary’s University. He was a graduate of Cotter High School. He was in he U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus.
