DURAND, Wis.. Dorothy Frances Ceci, 94, of Durand, a musician, poet and artist, died at St. Elizabeth’s nursing home in Wabasha. She held a degree from Mount Mary College. Her poetry was pubushed in the campus literary journal. In the 1960s she became one of the first female underground cable splicers in the United States. Later she earned a second degree, in English and art history from the Wisconsin State College, Whitewater. At St. Elizabeth’s nursing home,she played the piano at religious services.
