MINNESOTA CITY, Minn. – Lloyd D. Johnson Jr., 53, of Minnesota City, a heavy-equipment operator who worked most recently for Thomas & Sons Construction, died in his sleep at his cousin’s home in Ostego. He spent a lot of time in his youth on his grandparents’ farm near Kellogg. After high school, he joined the National Guard and the Marines. His hobby was World War II 1/35th scale models.
