WINONA, Minn. — Marcella “Marcy” Louise Karsten, of Winona, who “retired” while working into her 80th year of life as a “lunch lady” at Winona Middle School. died at age 96. She grew up near Mound Prairie in Houston County but eventually relocated to La Crosse and Winona. Among her jobs was being a Radium Girl for CB Rich and Gateway Glass. With family she owned and lived in a Winona apartment building that housed many students and faculty.
