WINONA, Minn. – Edward Ronald Dreas, 87, of Winona, a lawyer and banker, died unexpectedly at Benedictine-Callista Court. He graduated from Cotter High School in 1950 as class salutatorian and a three-sport athlete. At DePaul University he played for Ray Meyer’s Blue Demon’s teams of the early 1950s. He graduated from DePaul with a law degree. In Winona he was part owner of the Winona County Abstract Company. He later shifted to banking and retired as branch manager of TCF Bank. He was Cotter High School’s director of development. He was an inaugural member of the Cotter Athletic Hall of Fame. He never abandoned his athleticism. He hit a hole-in-one in 1978.
