ST. CHARLES, Minn. – Rudie Spitzer, 82, of St. Charles, who took pride in his 40 years of farming, died at Gundersen hospital in La Crosse. He was a member of the Winona County Soil and Water Board, the Sheriff’s Posse, the County Planning and Zoning Commission, the County Extension 4-H, the Tri County Electric Advisory Board. He also was a volunteer for the Winona County Fair. He was in the Army military police at Fort Leonard Wood and Fort Gordon and later in the in the Army Reserve.
