PICKWICK, Minn. — Thelvin L. Solem, 91, of Pickwick,, who served 20 years in the U.S. Army, including the Korea and Vietnam wars, died at St. Anne Benedictine nursing home in Winona. He retired as a sergeant first class. Later he was a captain with the Pinkerton security agency. At Pickwick Mill Days he was known for his Swedish meatballs and chicken dumplings.
