MADISON, Wis. — The attorney representing Daniel Peggs, a former Altoona, Wisconsin school superintendent, called for clarifications in the sex charges against him. The attorney told the judge that the student whose complaints led to Peggs’ arrest seems mixed up on the facts. The student has put Peggs at events that happened with other men, said attorney Joseph Bugni. The attoney said he needs access to details from investigators, including dates,  to build a defense. Bugni also said that images produced by investigators may be sexually playful but hardly pornographic. There is no “lascivious display of genitalia,” he said. “They involve a display of her bare breasts and that doesn’t cut it.” Bugni also alleged additional flaws in the charges.
